Belgium M1915 Adrian Helmet
A beautiful example of the French Model 1915 Adrian helmet, painted mustard brown and delivered to the armies of the Belgian army during the Great War. This helmet bears the early model Belgian lion head, the mane having serrated edges (the later period head had rounded edges). The early war one piece liner has a size B1 marking on the front tongue, and the dome of the helmet still has its size and makers mark from Compagnie Coloniale. The right side of the helmet has two dents in it, likely from artillery shrapnel strikes. This helmet surely saved the life of the man who wore it in the trenches, defending his home from the German invaders.
